Definitely one of the best FPS games ever created.
This very game changed the course of FPS gaming, and made multiplayer gaming an outstanding experience. This game almost boosted competitive gaming to a higher level, basically urging players to improve their skills and compete in tournaments.
One of the most famous competitors known as Fatal1ty, was the first person to be nominated as the best Quake III player in the world. He took this game to a complete different level, but like all champions, their title does not last forever.
I consider this game to be better than Unreal Tournament, though I am sure that most gamers would disagree with this statement... then again, why should I care XD
